Tacoma - Investigate a space station that appears to have been taken over by a rogue A.I. Not sure how well it holds up now, but I really connected with these games when I played them back around 2005. The Longest Journey is also great, but plays more like a classic point-and-click. The Longest Journey / Dreamfall - So I played Dreamfall first, and it definitely has the more cinematic feel. Heavy dialogue-focus, with a neat conversation system that aims to create very organically flowing dialogue. Oxenfree - Stranger Things vibes in this paranormal mystery thriller following a group of teenagers visiting an abandoned island. Really cool way of letting you test and experience how story choices play out with the time rewind mechanic. Very emotionally impactful story if you can connect with the characters. Life is Strange - Nostalgic melancholy wrapped up in a teen drama. I found it to be a very gorgeous game with a strong, grown-up story. Hard recommend everyone should play this!įirewatch - This one lends itself to a little more exploration/wandering, which some might find boring.
